Affiliate disclosure

Last updated: 2026-06-12

This tool links to Amazon search results for practical gear. Those links are ordinary, untagged links: we are not in the Amazon Associates programme and earn nothing if you buy through them.

1. What affiliate links are

Some pages on Travel Card FX Fee Checker (https://bordertriptools.com/fx-card) contain affiliate links. If you click one of those links and make a purchase on the destination site, the owner of this tool (José Manuel Volante González) may receive a commission from the seller. The commission is paid by the seller; it costs you nothing extra and does not change the price you pay. This disclosure is made in line with the FTC's endorsement guides (16 CFR Part 255) and EU transparency rules (Directive 2005/29/EC).

3. How this affects our content

Affiliate commissions fund the maintenance of this free tool. The FX fee calculations, card rankings and annual cost estimates are produced independently of affiliate programmes: the presence of an affiliate link does not alter the results or their ordering. Of the issuers compared, Wise is the only one that pays us a referral commission; Revolut, N26, Curve and the traditional banks pay us nothing, and Wise is ranked by the same formula as the rest, which is published on the methodology page.

4. How links are identified

Affiliate links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute in line with Google's guidelines and applicable transparency requirements, and a disclosure notice is shown next to the linked recommendations.
