About BorderTrip Tools
BorderTrip Tools is a family of free, single-purpose tools for international travelers: entry requirements and border fees, passport rules, baggage and electronics limits, connectivity costs, and what airlines owe you when things go wrong. Each tool answers exactly one question, deterministically, from a versioned dataset with cited primary sources — no account, no paywall.
Who runs it
The site is built and maintained by José Manuel Volante González, an independent developer based in Spain, operating as a natural person (the full provider identification required by Spanish Act 34/2002 is in the legal notice). Contact: [email protected].
The family of tools
BorderTrip Tools is the hub of a set of specialist tools, each deployed on its own subdomain (for example schengen, etias, powerbank). They share one operator, one data-verification process, and one design system. The full directory lives on the home page; the verification process is documented in the methodology.
How it is funded
Some pages contain affiliate links (Airalo, Holafly, Amazon Associates). Commissions on qualifying purchases fund the project; your price never changes, and placement reflects editorial judgment only. Details in the affiliate disclosure.
What this site is not
The tools provide indicative calculations based on official sources. They are not legal advice, and they do not replace the official portals they cite — every result links to the authoritative source so you can verify the figure yourself.
